Get Primed for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
The seventh movie in the big 21st century Transformers revival is heading our way soon, and it’s introducing the Beast Wars universe to proceedings.
As such we are set to witness the arrival of mech animals, including big ape Optimus Primal, voiced by none other than Ron Perlman.
That doesn’t mean that there won’t be all the familiar classic Transformers though, as well as a shiny new silver Porsche number, driven – or not driven, we guess – by Anthony Ramos. He’s joined in the human lead department by Dominique Fishback.
Other human cast members include the always amazing Michelle Yeoh, as well as Luna Lauren Velez, while the voice cast also boasts the likes of Peter Dinklage, Pete Davidson, John DiMaggio, Cristo Fernández and, of course, Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime.
With the collision of vehicles and creatures, the story is set to “take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots, and introduce a whole new breed of Transformer – the Maximals – to the existing battle on Earth between Autobots and Decepticons.”
Meanwhile, Michael Bay has stepped away from the director’s chair for this one, with Steven Caple Jr. (Creed II) taking his place.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set to storm into Australian cinemas from June 8.
