How many pages does a cartridge print before it needs to be replaced?
There are a couple of key points when it comes to understanding how many pages an ink cartridge will print. The first one is use. How you use the ink and what you print will determine how many pages it lasts for. Heavier ink images may mean you get fewer pages. The second factor to consider is which ink cartridge you buy. Page yields for Canon ink cartridges start in the hundreds and can go to more than 2500, depending on printing usage. Check out a few high capacity and high yield cartridges such as:
- Pixma CL641xl fine
- Maxify PGI 1600XL
- Pixma PG640 fine
- Maxify PGI2600
- Combination pack 640 and 641 XL
All Canon printers will let you know when your ink is running low.
