In making a version 2 lens worthy of the name, we had to reconsider the role of an 85mm lens, and look outside the traditional portrait role for new ways to push performance. The lens has been made smaller and lighter, a quality that any content creator will appreciate. The new focus motor transforms this lens from a steady performer into a true sports shooter for close range capture, and also makes the lens a great choice for movies with smooth, silent focus control.
