
Owen Wilson wows the art world in Paint

While he was never really a big thing in Australia, laidback US TV painting teacher Bob Ross was huge with his show The Joy of Painting. Now Owen Wilson is playing a knock-off version of him in a movie called Paint.
Wilson’s character’s name is Carl Nargle, and he’s Vermont's number one public TV painter. Which implies that there must be competition…
Anyway, he’s “convinced he has it all: a signature perm, custom van, and fans hanging on his every stroke… until a younger, better artist steals everything (and everyone) Carl loves.”
Hey, we were right about the competition!
The first fictional feature written and directed by Brit Adams, Paint also stars Stephen Root, Michaela Watkins, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Ciara Renée.
Set for a US release in April, we await local details for Paint. While we do that, here’s a look at it:
