Zendaya takes on the tennis world in Challengers

Zendaya stars in Call Me by Your Name director Luca Guadagnino’s next screen outing Challengers, a romantic drama that’s centred around the competitive world of tennis.
Here’s the story sizzle: “Tashi Duncan is a former tennis prodigy turned coach and a force of nature who makes no apologies for her game on and off the court. Married to a champion on a losing streak, Tashi’s strategy for her husband’s redemption takes a surprising turn when he must face off against the washed-up Patrick – his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend. As their pasts and presents collide, and tensions run high, Tashi must ask herself, what will it cost to win?”
Alongside Zendaya as Tashi, the starring threesome is rounded out by Mike Faist (West Side Story) and Josh O’Connor (TV’s The Crown).
Challengers is set to hit Australian cinemas from October 5. Here’s a first look trailer, complete with a Rihanna soundtrack:
