Stockholm sweethearts Viagra Boys took to stage on Saturday night at Melbourne's Forum after arguably the current kings of Sydney, C.O.F.F.I.N., got the well lubricated crowd hyped for what was to come.

Viagra Boys' punk ethos combined with satirical-story telling lyrics are the cherry on top of what was a captivating performance from the entire band. An almost 20-track strong setlist highlighted their loose sound and sometimes hilarious, sometimes sleazy - but always grimy - delivery.

Californian-born frontman Sebastian Murphy's flexed his muscle and waistline girth, all the while delivering the bands unmistakable style, adorned only in his best weekend socks, sunnies, and trackie dacks.

Murphy and his five cohorts oozed charisma and kept the entire sold out venue entertained with solid punk and funny notations between tracks.

Highlights included Down in the Basement, and Man Made of Meat, along with crowd favourites Just Like You, Punk Rock Loser and, of course, Sports.

Viagra Boys proved that they're an elite band, and no doubt backed that up at their second sold out show in Melbourne before heading to Sydney and Brisbane to round off their Australian Shrimp Grand Prix.
