Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds bring back the groove with 'Wild God'

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds have dropped the title track of their newly-announced album, and it's brighter than anything we've heard from Uncle Nick in a while.
“I hope the album has the effect on listeners that it’s had on me,” Cave say of the band's 18th album, their first together since 2019's Ghosteen.
“It bursts out of the speaker, and I get swept up with it. It’s a complicated record, but it’s also deeply and joyously infectious."
The first taste of Wild God is the title track, which sashays with sweet drumkit and shaker; piano meanders behind Nick's typically heart-strained vocals before the whole thing builds to a massive, choir-washed climax. In a word: triumphant.
