Head over to the Telstra website with:

  • Your JB Hi-Fi Mobile Pre-Paid SIM serial number found on the packaging
  • A valid ID doc (drivers license, Medicare card or passport)

Porting your number

  • Insert your new JB Hi-Fi Mobile SIM 

  • You’ll need to be on Wi-Fi to complete your activation.

  • Download and sign into the JB Hi-Fi Mobile app
  • Once in My Telstra, select 'Get Help', then 'My Orders' and select your order. Then select 'Activate your SIM'.

Activating a new number

Just insert your new JB Hi-Fi Mobile SIM into your device and it will automatically activate.

Note: It can take up to 4 hours to complete activation. If your service hasn’t activated in this time, switch your device off and on again. Still waiting? Get help

Activate a replacement SIM

  • Insert your new JB Hi-Fi Mobile SIM 

  • You’ll need to be on Wi-Fi to complete your activation.

  • Download and sign into the JB Hi-Fi Mobile app
  • Once in My Telstra, select 'Get Help', then 'My Orders' and select your order. Then select 'Activate your SIM'.

Transfer from a physical SIM to eSIM

If you’re on a JB Hi-Fi Mobile Upfront or Mobile Broadband plan then you can easily activate a new eSIM in the JB Hi-Fi Mobile app.

  • First up, check that your phone is compatible. View device list
  • Open the JB Hi-Fi Mobile app on the device you’re moving the service to. 
  • You’ll need to be on Wi-Fi to complete your activation.

  • From the Services tab, select the relevant service and ‘Transfer or restore eSIM’.
  • If your device is compatible, the ‘Transfer or restore eSIM’ option will be shown.

  • Follow the prompts to complete eSIM activation.

You don’t need an internet connection or credit balance to access this page if you have your JB Hi-Fi Pre-Paid SIM card inserted in the device. If you are not using the SIM with your device you will need to be connected to Wi-Fi.
