Metallica curse inner demons on new track 'If Darkness Had a Son'

James Hetfield and his merry band of heavy metals have dropped the third single from their upcoming album '72 Seasons.'
If Darkness Had a Son is a face-melter of gargantuan proportions; we highly recommend turning it up to 11 while you watch the accompanying seven-minute clip, which depicts guitarist/vocalist Hetfield, lead guitarist Kirk Hammett, drummer Lars Ulrich and bassist Robert Trujillo in stellar form.
As for what the track is about... despite that title, the fellas aren't musing on the life of Damien. Hetfield's very first lyrics are the spat, repeated word "temptation", which is followed by plenty of allusions to a very evil sort of craving (check the particularly insightful line, "Hide yourself behind tomorrow").
